Charities rely on donations, so when you are clearing up the clutter, please remember they need all the help they can get.

Princess Alice Adoption Home 011 646 5641, Lisa Lazarus. Office hours 8 am – 4:30 pm, Baby and children’s clothes as well as toys, they will take other goods, which are sold and the proceeds go towards buying formula, nappies and other baby essentials

Hiyani orphanage- 12th Street Orange Grove (contacts to follow) baby and children’g clothes and toys.

Women’s Benevolent 011 485 5232 Shirley Levy. All household items and clothes for all ages.

Jylian Wolfsohn, 078 178 8096 she will buy your clothes from you, which she sells to supplement her income.

Childline Gauteng, affiliated with The Sunlight Safe house Project, has over 80 safe houses for abused, neglected or abandoned children. The reception centre is based at the Children’s Memorial Institute in Parktown. 011 645 2000 or 0800055555. They also collect clothing and household goods.

Maurice freeman community Centre. This is an after school centre in Bertram’s Johannesburg, run by a lady called Beauty (079) 7297784. They help feed and clothe the kids. For most of the kids it is their only meal for the day. They need everything!
